Now is the Time

Eternity, it’s set

on our hearts.

We long for

resurrection and transcendence,

more than we’ve ever longed

for bread.

We took Jesus’ promise

and reduced it

to a wafer.

All wafers do is stagnate.

They elicit neither

life nor death.

At least manna grew

worms.

I no longer desire

the stagnant wafer.

In search of a living God,

I choose a living faith,

a living practice,

a living bread.

Gone are the days

of stagnation.

Gone are the days

of enoughness.

Now is the time

for transformation.

Now is the time

for feasting!

Now is the time,

for feasting.
